Fireweed School of Herbalism & Vitalist Traditions honors the Vitalist lineage of Western herbalism and infuses quality education, anti-oppression ethics, and trauma-aware care with comprehensive clinical herbal training.
Samantha Grant and Meghan Schardt grew Fireweed School from shared passion, values, and a desire to collaborate. With their many years of working together and sharing in community, they decided to bring a new and creative approach to herbal education that leans on and honors interdependence and relationship. Fireweed School was sparked from a deeply rooted passion to serve community by creating space for connection to the plants, people, and creatures of the Earth, education, and a commitment to collaborative learning.
As Fireweed continues to expand, Sam and Meghan wish to bring each of their unique skills, interests, and unique approaches to herbalism forward. We will begin with a focus on clinical continuing education, as well as medicine making, and a flower essence program. Our hope is to make this education accessible and will share our offerings online as well as creating space for in-person learning opportunities.
